“Mr. President’s continued campaigning with the candidate across the country shows how much he backs our party’s nominee.”
Lai Mohammed, the minister of information and culture, says that Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has the full support of President Muhammadu Buhari.

On February 25th, voters will decide who will serve as president.
On Thursday in Abuja, at the 22nd meeting of the PMB Administration Scorecard Series (2015–2023), the minister gave this explanation.
He said that some news outlets had misunderstood what he had said when he said, “The president is committed to free, fair, and credible elections, and he is doing everything he can to make sure everyone has an equal chance of winning.”
The minister said, “Yesterday, when answering a question during the post-Federal Executive Council briefing at the State House, I remarked, inter alia, that Mr. President is dedicated to free, fair, and credible elections.” Some people have misunderstood what the president seemed to say about Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
And, as Mr. Mohammed put it, “I want to declare categorically that Mr. President is in entire favour of our party’s flag bearer, and that is proved by his continued campaign with the candidate around the nation.”
According to the minister of information, it is “preposterous to even say that Mr. President, who is the head of our party, is equivocating on his support for our presidential candidate,” adding that he hoped “this clears any uncertainty that may have come from my remark yesterday.”
Governor Nasir El-Rufai said on Wednesday that he thinks Mr. Buhari and his inner circle in the Presidential Villa are trying to make sure that APC candidate Bola Tinubu loses the election on February 25.
The Kaduna governor and Tinubu supporter said on Channels TV, “I think there are forces in the Villa that want us to lose the election because they didn’t get their way.” “They had their candidate.”
“Their nominee did not come out on top in the primary.” They’re still making an effort to ensure we come out on the losing end of the election. They are taking refuge in the president’s stated intention to do the right thing.
